Anas is a researcher at the Institute for Internet Security at Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. His research interests are centered on the field of malware analysis, and the development of methods for the detection of attacks. Anas is particularly passionate about areas like reverse engineering, network security, and analyzing cybercriminal methodologies.

As part of the research team of the HypErSIS project, Anas is investigating advanced techniques for detecting cyber threats and analyzing malicious code. His current work revolves around identifying malware families and leveraging Virtual Machine Introspection (VMI) to detect threats in virtualized environments.
